Transortation of liquation complex. 

SWTrans carried out transportation of liquation complex. Peculiarity of this case was caused by the width of one of the main cargoes which was equal to the width of the road (more than 6 meters). So performance of cargo handling works was also very important. Before transportation itself, which was made within two days, there were 2 weeks of preparation and 3 days of dismantling works also executed by SWTrans.  

3 cranes were used in the initial dismantling of the system:

1)      LIEBHERR W LTD 110: hoisting capacity -  100t;

2)      FAUN B100: hoisting capacity - 100 t.

3)      LIEBHERR LTM 1050: hoisting capacity – 50t.

The complex consisted of 6 blocks:

1) Top air-separating  block:

Length – 18,5m; Width - 3,4m; Weight – 19t.

2) Bottom air-separating block:

Length – 8m; Width -  6,5m; Weight – 5t.

3)Technical  argon column:

Diameter – 1m; Length - 25 m; Weight weights – 5t.

4) Preparation and gas purification block:

Length – 7m; Width – 6; Weights – 20t.

5) Cryogenic tank

6) Cryogenic gas expansion machine.

The length of the route from  St.-Petersburg to  Zelenograd  -  about1000 km.

Extraction of the technical argon column from the system required its lifting on height  of 60m. It was successfully done by means of FAUN B100 crane. LIEBHERR W LTD 110  crane was used for dismantling of gas preparation and  purification system. Air-separating system was divided into two blocks, brought into transportable position and loaded onto the road train by means of two cranes.

Transportation of  main oversized blocks was made by 3 road trains with escort of civil and traffic police cars. After the unloading of the system SWTrans installed it on territory of the plant in Zelenograd.
