SWTrans has performed a large scaled transportation for the “Pervouralsk” project. It was effected over the Perm-Pervouralsk route, with cargo of bogies and parts of bridge cranes. Renault tractors (Premium, Kerax) and MAN TGA tractors were used, with ES-GE, HRD and HAFO semitrailers. Transportation was a combination of water and surface modes.
During the transportation process several unexpected problems were solved. Those were accompanied by lifting up of air power cables in Perm region; lengthy slopes and elevations on the road (45 degrees at several places), width of the road (7m opposed to 6m width of cargo), along with unpleasant climate (snowing and ice). The transportation of 30m long bulkheads (described in “Lengthy cargoes” area of this site) was also effected for same Project. In total, 1914 units of cargo were moved, with 1915 tons combined weight.
