Transportation of 3 transformers rated at 180 tons each
SWTrans has completed the project on the transportation of 3 transformers rated at 180 tons each on the route Moscow - Maloyaroslavets.
Due to the impressive weight of transformers, it was decided to implement the delivery by means of the railway transporters with lifting capacity of 220 tons. Those vehicles are used on the stage of local transportation of heavy cargoes.
The individual circumstances and nuances were certainly the starting point for the further implementation of the project on the transportation of 3 heavy transformers. The first stage of the project was dismantling and delivery of transformers to the transfer cargo station. The second stage was elaboration of the plan of transportation of goods to the railway transporters and approval of the project at the department of special transportations of Russian Railway. In the same time SWTrans produced lodgements for the installation of transformers. The third stage implied delivery of goods by individual locomotive in Maloyaroslavets, where the heavyweights were overloaded on vehicles and successfully delivered to its destination. The fourth stage – rigging and installation of transformers at the foundation with the help of special rolling paths.
